Students of all abilities and ages participate in our physical education program, which includes balance and coordination, games, gymnastics, running, swimming, and weight lifting. Physical fitness is stressed and students are encouraged to begin good exercise habits with the hope that these will stick with them for life.
Middle and high school students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular sports activities. These include cheerleading, cross country, goalball, swim, track, and wrestling. Our teams compete with local clubs and schools and in the North Central Association of Schools for the Blind and Visually Impaired. The NCASBVI conference includes schools from more than a dozen states and provides our students with the opportunity to participate in a competitive team environment.
