Make a Difference – WSBVI Summer Programs 2025

Program Objectives:

The WSBVI Make a Difference program is designed to help attendees build valuable life skills, explore career passions, foster a sense of belonging, and boost college and work applications through a variety of community service experiences.

Logistics:

This program is intended for any BVI student entering 9th grade to 12th grade for the 2025-2026 school year.

The program will run from Sunday, July 6th to Friday, July 12th, 2025, on the Wisconsin School for the Blind’s campus located at 1700 West State Street Janesville, WI.

In addition to the awesome day program, living on campus for the week will provide the opportunity to experience dorm life, gain skills of independence, participate in evening activities, and make new friends.

We Are Makers – WSBVI Summer Programs 2025

Program Objectives:

Join us for an exciting one-week summer program designed specifically for blind and visually impaired youth, where creativity and hands-on learning come to life! This immersive experience brings together art, music, cooking and technology with the energy of a Maker Fair. Hands-on activities involving adaptive design, 3D printing, tactile art, cooking and music will empower young makers to explore, experiment, and have FUN! Guided by experienced mentors, students will develop practical skills and confidence in an inclusive, collaborative environment. This program fosters innovation while encouraging creativity, teamwork, and exploration with accessible technology. Join us for a week of discovery and hands-on fun, where every participant is a creator!

This program is intended for any BVI Elementary and Middle School student entering grades 1-8 for the 2025-2026 school year.

The program will run from Monday, July 21 to Friday, July 25, 2025, on the Wisconsin School for the Blind’s campus located at 1700 West State Street Janesville, WI.
