WCBVI Book Request Process

There is a new temporary digital process for textbook requests until a permanent solution is in place.

Beginning April 25th, book requests can be made via the new temporary process and a walk through is available from our WCBVI Assistive Technology Specialist, Amy Snow.

This process will be live on the WAMP beginning April 25th. You may explore this process and supporting video below:

Wisconsin Accessible Media Productions (WAMP)

The WAMP website has been designed to assist the local districts in obtaining accessible education materials in specialized formats.

If a school district is planning to purchase textbooks (published on or after July 19, 2006) they must request the publisher release the files to the NIMAC.

Textbook purchasing contracts contain language requesting the publisher prepare and submit files meeting NIMAS (National Instructional Materials Accessibility Standard) requirements to the NIMAC.
