Preschool and Elementary Families and Professionals Virtual Conference

This annual event is held for the purpose of supporting families, caregivers and professionals who have young children who are blind or visually impaired make connections with other families and to gain information and strategies to assist their children in reaching their highest potentials.

The best thing that happens every year are families having the chance to connect in a group with other families who have children with the same or similar diagnoses. This is a time where parents take over all conversation to discuss the topics of desire: friendships occur, ideas are inspired and solutions are manifested. There is nothing that can beat the learning you get from those who have traveled and lived on the same path.

We invite Keynote Speakers to start out the conference to speak with inspiration, knowledge and an understanding of what your children and students are facing within their developmental levels.

This conference includes both general sessions for all participants and breakout sessions that registrants can have a choice for which to attend. Many of the topics for the sessions are determined by recommendations that are put in the prior conference evaluations.

Topics that are normally covered annually are braille and early literacy, movement, parent rights and advocacy, cortical visual impairment, low vision, technology and a variety of therapy discussions. Other topics are determined by popular interest, family recommendations and new and exciting best practices when working with a child with visual impairments.
