2022 Youth & Adult Summer Programs

EmployAbility Program

The 2022 Summer EmployAbility Program is for students 16-21. This year the program will be back on campus. It is aimed at students who are ready and willing to work and participate in two weeks of classes. Classes will include Employment Skills, Independent Living Skills and Orientation and Mobility/Community Safety. The program will accept four students, and jobs will be on-campus or virtual jobs done on campus. Two weeks of classes take place June 19 through July 1 and the two weeks of work will take place July 10-22.

WSBVI Youth Programs

You are getting a sneak peek into the Wisconsin School for the Blind and Visually Impaired’s summer school programs for school aged children. Each program is a week-long residential experience with classes focusing on the Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC) at the school during the day and events in the dorms in the evening. Check out dates and descriptions below.

  • “A Day in the Life” July 10-15, is a program designed for middle & highschool students who want to experience what it’s like to live on campus and be a WSBVI Badger. Students will rotate through classes and get a taste for our adaptive curriculum, extra-curricular activities, and dorm events.
  • “Build It” July 17-22, is a program designed for school aged students who have an interest in building their cooking, literacy, independent living, self-care, and manual skills, including large scale and fun engineering projects.

2022 WCBVI Adult Summer Program

The WCBVI Summer Adult Program will take place from Sunday, July 24 through Friday, July 29, 2022. It is currently planned to be held on the WCBVI campus in Janesville. Please complete the interest form below. All forms must be received before June 10, 2022. Priority will be given to those who have not attended in previous years.
